Our Methodology Is Rooted in Conversation

Because we believe that learning a new language should start with speaking.

Speaking Comes First

Our methodology is based on conversation—because we believe that learning a new language begins with speaking.

Our goal is for students to leave here speaking naturally and confidently. To make that happen, we use a method inspired by the way we acquire our first language. Think about how a baby learns to speak: they first listen to their parents, absorb sounds, begin to repeat words and phrases, and only later learn grammar rules in school.

That’s exactly what we do. First, students listen. Then they speak. Only after that do they begin to understand why things are said the way they are. This makes learning more organic, enjoyable, and effective.

Class Is a Place to Talk, Not to Memorize

In practice, students prepare for class at home: they study the unit content and complete the exercises on their own, without supervision. The idea is for them to research, reflect, and engage with the material before class. That way, they come to class full of questions—and that’s exactly where real learning happens.

During class, teachers don’t assign exercises. The focus is 100% on conversation. The teacher guides the class with questions about the exercises done at home, encouraging students to explain what they understood, how they thought through it, and why they used certain structures. This turns every lesson into a dynamic, engaging exchange focused on developing speaking skills.

An Approach That Flips the Traditional Model

Unlike the traditional Brazilian model—which puts too much emphasis on grammar and has students memorizing rules for years before they ever speak—our method flips the script: first you listen, then you speak, and only after that do you learn the grammar rules, at the right moment—when they truly make sense.

Speaking-Focused Sessions

In addition, we alternate regular lessons with exclusive speaking sessions. In these classes, the teacher brings a topic for discussion, tailored to each group’s level, with the goal of getting students to spend the entire session practicing their speaking.

This method reduces mental blocks, makes learning lighter, and prepares students to use the language naturally in everyday situations.
